CONGRATULATIONS VICTORS!

TO GIVE OFF A SMILE IS EASY, BUT WHAT WARRANTS FOR THAT SMILE NEVER COME A EASY WAY!

Recently, the neighborhoods of Port Moresby were engulfed in an atmosphere of excitement and jubilation. The news feeds on social media platforms were flooded with eloquent pictures, displaying beaming smiles and the vibrant color blue. These images became the center of discussions in homes and various gatherings, generating an immense wave of celebration. The cause for such joyous festivities was the 65th graduation ceremony of the prestigious University of Papua New Guinea, where numerous individuals from the community achieved remarkable milestones in their professional journeys. Among these achievers were Mathilda Akon Leo and Doris Kanden, two extraordinary young women who deserve heartfelt congratulations and recognition.

To an outsider, this occasion might seem like just another event, but for those familiar with the trials and tribulations endured to reach this milestone, the celebration holds great significance. The path to obtaining a degree is fraught with challenges that demand immense dedication, sacrifice, and determination. As witnesses to these struggles, we also take pride in the accomplishments of our own, our youths, who have soared to new heights. The celebrations that ensued were a testament to the perseverance and unwavering commitment these graduates demonstrated throughout their academic journey.

Living far away from parents, in unfamiliar territory, is no easy feat. Furthermore, being a female student in a large institution presents its own set of challenges. It requires time, sacrifice, and a strong sense of purpose. These graduates have managed to balance their academic pursuits while adhering to their principles and maintaining a steadfast connection with their faith. They have shown us that resilience and determination can conquer any obstacle.

The sight of Mathilda Akon Leo and Doris Kanden, adorned in their graduation gowns, emanating a radiant glow, tells a remarkable story. Their smiles and achievements are not ordinary; they represent the triumph over personal struggles, the defeat of societal limitations, and the manifestation of dedication and perseverance. Their success shines as a beacon of hope for all those who aspire to achieve greatness.

On behalf of the Southern Region and NCD Christian Apostolic Fellowship Youth Leadership, we extend our warmest congratulations to Mathilda Akon Leo and Doris Kanden for their momentous achievements. Graduating from the University of Papua New Guinea with a degree is a significant milestone in itself. While there have been a few youths who have achieved this before, many more are on their way. Through your accomplishments, you have shown your fellow youths that they too can overcome obstacles and succeed.

What truly enables us to congratulate both of you is the commitment and dedication you have displayed within your local churches. Your diligence and unwavering faith have set you apart as shining examples. Your families, friends, pastors, Christian community, and fellow youths rejoice in your success, as do we. May the joy of being in the house of the Lord continue to burn in your hearts, illuminating the path ahead. Let the glory of your academic achievements shine and guide you in all your future endeavors.

Once again, we offer our heartfelt congratulations and extend our best wishes to Mathilda Akon Leo and Doris Kanden. As you embark on new journeys, may you continue to believe in yourselves and work hard. Remember that more accomplishments lie ahead, waiting to be realized. May God bless you both abundantly, showering you with heavenly blessings as you embrace the promising future that awaits you.
